Immigration to the UK
Check out the latest job offerings from the UK.
The UK has introduced a number of new UK immigration,
naturalization, UK visa, work permit and UK working visa categories
in the last few years. The points based skilled immigration category
the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) introduced in January
2002 has proved to be very successful. A Summary of UK HSMP Changes,
as of 17 November, 2006 has been placed
here.

However, the HSMP is being replaced by Tier 1 of the UK's new
five-tier points based system which will encompass all work, study,
and training immigration routes into the country. People seeking
extensions to their HSMP visa are now required to extend their leave
to remain under Tier 1 for General Highly Skilled Migrants. Starting
in April 2008, applicants located in India will be required to file
initial highly skilled migrants under Tier 1, followed by the rest
of the world in summer 2008.
You may have to wait months for your UK visa application to be
processed by the Border and Immigration Agency, or spend the whole
day there to then find that you do not have all the relevant
documentation. We are OISC registered and can submit your UK visa
application to the Home Office to be dealt with on the same day.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: CHANGES IN APPLYING FOR A UNITED
KINGDOM VISA
The British Government is introducing biometric data collection (fingerscans
and digital photographs) as part of a world-wide biometric
identification process, designed to protect an individual's
identity, facilitate future entry to the UK, combat visa fraud and
abuse of the UK's immigration and asylum systems.
Whilst these changes are being facilitated, please expect delays.
From 7 June 2007 there will some changes to the visa application
process. All visa applicants, irrespective of nationality, will have
to apply in person to a Visa Application Centre (VAC) and have their
fingerscans and digital photograph taken. In addition to this, these
centres will only offer general advice and assistance in filling in
the application forms, and not the dedicated, expert and
professional advice YDP's clients receive from our well travelled
and highly experienced staff.
The opportunity to work and travel to the United Kingdom is an
extreme privilege, and must never be taken for granted. As you only
have one shot at receiving your visa, we highly recommend you
continue to make use of YDP's professional advice that has kept us
in business for more that 14 years, and sending more than 20 000
South Africans on working holidays to the UK. .
All the Visa Application Centres are within 5 minutes of YDP's
offices so we will continue to provide the exemplary and efficient
service our clients have been accustomed too and subsequently
maintain our 98% UK visa approval record.
